Happy 4th Week

Olivia, you are now 4 weeks old. You are beautiful and loved so much already. Have a Happy New Year with Aunty Trish, Uncle Tim, Austin and Hayley. See you next year.

Love,
Grandma George

My Visit with Olivia

Olivia,
I want to thank you for having me up to New York for a visit last weekend. I must say that you were much more hospitable than your brother, Brady, who did nothing but growl at me. My Mom would likely say that he didn't like my facial hair. And while you were feisty that evening, you only woke up once to eat overnight! We were all grateful for the sleep! Oh, and thanks for the good vibes that went with me to my meeting in Philly :)
My final observation is that you have more hair at 3.5 weeks old than Matzek and Nestor combined. Furthermore, you are 1-0 in ND football... an undefeated streak we hope you maintain for at least a few years. Well, I'll let you get back to being hungry and growing. Happy New Year Heckel family! Not that I was surprised, but Jen and Ken, being parents seemed quite natural for you both (as it has for the Nestors and Matzeks as well!).
Ok, see you soon,
Uncle Pete

Uncle Pete's Visit

My Uncle Pete came to visit this weekend while he was on his way to Philadelphia. We had a great time watching football and hanging out. Check out our picture.

My Dad's Birthday

I spent the better part of Dad's birthday crying uncontrollably for no apparent reason. Quite a birthday present!! But Dad told me it was his best birthday ever, since I was here to celebrate with him. Here are some pictures of my birthday outfit for Dad, and some shots when I was actually not screaming!!

My First Family Christmas Photos

Mom and Dad made me pose for Christmas photos with my doggy, Brady. Check us out!! Thanks to Gidu and Uncle Geof for taking great pictures.

My First Christmas

Well - apparently I was a good girl this year - at least for the three weeks that I was around prior to Christmas. Santa came and left some gifts under the tree, although I did not stay up late enough to meet him or Rudolph. Maybe next year. I had a great time in Rhode Island, meeting many family and friends for the first time. I added two new states to my list - Rhode Island and Connecticut - now I have three - only 47 to go!! Here are some pictures from my holiday travels.

Princess Olivia

Olivia...

You are the Princess. Mom is the Queen and Dad is the King. You are the most beautiful Princess of all time. I am your Gidu. I will do anything for you. I am at your service forever! You rule! I cannot wait to introduce you to fishing and Matunuck. Also, PC basketball and Notre Dame football (although I'm sure Mom & Dad will beat all of us to that one). Call me if you ever need anything.

Love,Gidu

My First Snowfall

I am so excited. Today I am seeing snow for the first time ever. We are supposed to get 6-12 inches today. My dad even stayed home from work to enjoy the snow with me. Below are some pictures of our family. Brady enjoyed playing in the snow on our porch!.

New Update from Olivia

Over the past week, I have been very busy. My Mimi & Papa visited last weekend, and did an exceptional job of spoiling me!! We had a lot of fun together. My Grandma George came back for a few days this week, to help my Mom and Dad take care of me. Now my Uncle Billy is here for a couple of days. Below is a picture of us hanging out today.

Olivia

Olivia, even though I am your Grandma, I am not prejudiced. You are the most beautiful baby in the whole world and Gidu and I love you so much already. We will always love you and if you ever have a problem with your Mom and Dad just call us and we will listen to your concerns. We may be far away but you can see us on the webcam and talk to us whenever you want. Have a healthy and happy life.

Love,
Grandma

Olivia's First Blog

Friends & Family - I am writing to say hello to the world. I was born about a week ago, on December 3rd at 8:14 PM. Since then, I have been very busy - nursing, sleeping, and going potty in my pants. My parents have been taking good care of me. My Gidu and Grandma George have been visiting and helping out all week.
